  • Age requirements

    Most of the car rental companies allow 21 years old and above to rent a car. However, the age restrictions may vary for different categories and suppliers. A young driver surcharge is applicable for drivers below a certain age.

  • Credit Card

    You must present a credit card with your full name when picking up your rental vehicle. The supplier will generally pre-authorise the refundable deposit amount of your rental vehicle on the credit card.

  • Proof of Identity

    A valid ID card (for Thai residents) or passport (only photo page) would be required at the time of pick up. All foreign renters must provide a passport that has been valid for at least six months.

  • Driver’s License

    Driver must present a full and valid driving license which has been held for a minimum of 1 year. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is required if the renter’s domestic license is not issued in Roman alphabet.
