Things to See Inside Songkhla Aquarium

Upon entering the Songkhla Aquarium, you’ll be taken into an air-conditioned mini theater to watch a 10-minute video presentation on Hat Yai and Songkhla. After that, you’ll be guided into the main aquarium area where a number of tanks with freshwater fish species from around Southeast Asia can be seen. Tanks containing sea fish are found as you go deep into the aquarium. Some of the rare species on display include seahorses and coral fishes. From there, you’ll find an underwater tunnel which is quite impressive and you’ll see a number of sharks, turtles and fishes swim above as you walk across it. The tunnel will lead you to the underwater viewing room where an underwater show is conducted in which a diver inside a large tank feeds the fishes. You’ll be entertained by an emcee as you watch the undersea fishes catch their feed. When exiting the Songkhla Aquarium, you’ll find a drink stall and a gift shop from where you can buy some souvenirs.
