Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

It is a marine National park which is located in the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province of Thailand. It was Thailand’s first marine National park, established in 1966 it covers an area of about 20.88 Km square and is about 60 Kilometers from Hua Hin’s South. Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park literally means ‘the mountains with 300 peaks’. Abundant marshes and bogs make a splendid spectacle as the limestone mountains rise from the depths of water up to a height of 650 meters making a perfect post card worthy backdrop. Hua Hin has so much to explore about and having a rental car by your side, makes that far more feasible than traveling around in public transport. Things to Do at Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park.

  • Camping is fun and it becomes more entertaining when the camp location is a beach
  • For those who have nerves of steel would certainly love to visit the caves- the dark and mysterious caves especially the Tham Phraya Nakhon cave which has a hole in its roof that allows the light to come in resulting.
  • One can move around with the rangers so as to try and locate the elusive black goat antelope
  • One can take a peaceful stroll at Mangrove Broad walk.
  • One can sit with their binoculars and can have a look around and try to distinguish one bird species from another.
  • One can visit the royal pavilion that has been constructed in the middle of the forest, Just stand at Khao Daeng Viewpoint and absorb the splendid view it endows.
