Khao Chan Ngam cave is a naturally well preserved cave which holds highly significant collection of pictorial records that are said to be carved on the walls by an agrarian community; and hence is a great authentic source for scholars and historians. The paintings were discovered in 1938 and include various colored sketches of men, women and children done in red coarse paint.
