Prehistoric Paintings

Khao Chan Ngam cave is a naturally well preserved cave which holds highly significant collection of pictorial records that are said to be carved on the walls by an agrarian community; and hence is a great authentic source for scholars and historians. The paintings were discovered in 1938 and include various colored sketches of men, women and children done in red coarse paint. Its shows human forms in various postures and actions: dancing, sitting, firing arrows or hunting.
