An Interesting Historical Park in Songkhla

General Prem Tinsulanonda Historical Park is one of the most important tourist attractions in the entire Songkhla Province. It is an interesting place to visit, both for the locals as well as foreigners. Spread over an area of about 60 acres, the park was constructed to pay homage to General Prem Tinsulanonda – a former Prime Minister of Thailand. His sacrifices and good deeds have earned him a special place inside every Thai heart, and as such, this historical park remains flanked by visitors all year round. The General Prem Tinsulanonda Historical Park houses a multi-purpose building that was initially built as a facility for international and domestic seminars and meetings. At present, this building is a Statesman’s Hall that is dedicated to the works of the General. Its surrounding area has been developed to include a place for relaxation and camping, a public park and a learning center about mangrove forests.
