The Elephant Village in Pattaya is an amazing nature reserve where you can not only see the elephants but can also take pictures with them. The reserve was established in 1973 to provide shelter to elephants which are sick or in poor condition and cannot be used for heavy work. But now, the village also provide shelter to healthy elephants. The Elephant Village do not receive any government support, any sponsorship or any donations. Tickets sales are the only income source for the village which is used to pay for elephant’s food, medication and maintenance of the village.

Things to Do at Elephant Village

About 30 elephants live here and every day more than 1,000 tourists visit the village. Many elephant shows and various activities can be enjoyed at this elephant sanctuary. You won’t see any circus-type shows here, but you will be able to see the elephants living in their natural lifestyle. You can see them bathing, playing football and also, you can take a ride on their back. Other activities available at the village includes jungle trekking, a visit to silk house, fishing and ATV tours. The tours last for different time lengths. Lunch, dinner and fruits are also provided at the Elephant village. A visit to the reserve will be an unforgettable experience for you.

Useful Information The Elephant Village is located at 48/120, Moo 7, Tambol Nong Prue at a distance of 10 Km from the Pattaya city and can be reached within 30 minutes. Renting a car will not only save transportation cost but will also save your time. So, rent a car with us in Pattaya, and have an enjoyable ride to Elephant village. Also, the village is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm. The trekking activities start at 10:30 am and ends at 4 pm.
