The Doi Pui village is inhabited by the Hmong community which can also be found in the different countries of Southeast Asia. The people of this ethnic group can also be found in China. The people of Hmong live a rural life which is based on the cultivation of vegetables and fruits. They also raise animals and produce handicrafts. Formerly, the village used to plant opium for a living, but it was banned by the government. Then they started to sell fruits, vegetables, clothes and handicrafts.
