At Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park

Offering a very tranquil setting, Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park is one of the more beautiful parks in Thailand. This is a great place to bring your lunch along and enjoy a nice picnic with friends and family. Here, you’ll find a number of caves which are not big enough compared to other caves in the town, but definitely nice to explore. The two adjoining limestone caves ‘Tham Luk Suea’ and ‘Tham Ruesi Sawan’ is where you’ll get to see plenty of stalagmites and stalactites besides a stream of water flowing through. There are lots of monkeys around the caves and for your safety, you’re advised not to feed them. Adorned with many distinct flowers, the large garden is where the magnificent bronze statue of the Princess’ Mother is erected – the main highlight of the park. Outside the cave stands another statue known as Phra Rusi which means ‘wandering holy man’. All in all, Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Park is a place that deserves to be featured on your list of ‘things to see in Phang-Nga’.
